Compiling all the answers to your frequently asked questions in one handy, easy-to-read spot!

What areas of photography do you provide?

  • Weddings, events (corporate events/trade shows/networking, adult/kids parties, engagements, hens/bridal shower, baptisms/christenings, baby showers), family shoots (immediate/extended family), headshots for individuals/whole companies, marketing photos for print, website and socials, game day coverage for sports (mainly AFL/football, cricket, netball, basketball), sports club team and individual photos. If I’ve missed something you’re thinking about, just ask!

How long have you been photographing for?

  • Professionally since 2012! But my dad was also in photography/photo retail when I was a kid, and he made sure I had a camera in my hands as young as 5 or 6 years old, and all the way through primary school and high school I was designated snapshot photographer with my plastic film cameras and Kmart digicam!

What are your usual wedding packages?

  • You can find them at the top of this Packages and Pricing page! I also offer longer days if needed, just ask in your enquiry. I also offer shorter packages for elopements/micro weddings, just ask!

Can I see your photography pricing before I enquire?

Do you offer prints and albums?

How do I enquire?

  • Best method is via my Contact page - this has a form to fill out with a lot of the initial info I need to respond quickly and give you an accurate quote. The more info you can give me, the better! You can also email me directly at amypatonphotography@gmail.com or flick me an Instagram DM at @amypatonphoto, but the Contact form is preferred!

How do I pay?

  • I take payments via bank transfer only. For weddings and payments generally over $400, I take a 25% deposit to secure the booking and then remaining payment 2 weeks prior for weddings and 1 week prior for other bookings. I can provide an invoice upon request.

Can the photos look like X/include X pose/be edited like X?

  • If you have ideas of visuals in mind, definitely tell me early! Add any extra info and links in your Contact form enquiry, or flick me some photos via the above emasil address if its important to you! I’m very adaptable, but please keep in mind some inspo photos will not suit my style. I will let you know if that is the case, and possibly direct you to a photographer friend better suited to you.

Is there a way to see more of your work?

  • After viewing my Galleries here, the best way is following me on Instagram at @amypatonphoto! I try to keep my galleries updated here, but newest work does land there first. Plus I share stories and behind the scenes there, for more of an idea of my vibe!

When do I receive all my photos?

  • I will let you know of this when you enquire, and if your shoot date/wedding is a fair way from your enquiry date, I give a more accurate idea closer to once I have a better idea of my workload that week/month. As a general idea: Weddings, 4-5 weeks (with a sneak peek the day after the wedding), other shoots within 1 week, corporate work within 48 hours. If you have a required timeframe, please let me know when enquiring/ASAP, am happy to assist when I can.

How do I receive my photos?

  • I provide galleries via Dropbox for easy download. I provide galleries in full resolution (best for print) and web resolution (best for website and social media use), and always provide instructions for easiest download method. If you require your photos on a USB, please advise when enquiring/ASAP.
